Background

The NDPHS Secretariat (the Coordinator of the Policy Area “Health” within the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR)), along with coordinators of the EUSBSR Horizontal Action “Capacity”, invites interested stakeholders to apply for training in designing, developing and implementing projects. The training will be organized on 8-9 November 2017 in Riga, Latvia.

The aim of the training is to help strengthen capacity among regional stakeholders to develop and implement projects within the Policy Area “Health.”

The training aims at stakeholders active in the Policy Area “Health” and will be held over two days. During the first day (ran by coordinators of the Horizontal Action “Capacity”), the focus will be on the EUSBSR in general, and the Policy Area “Health” in particular.

On the second day, the NDPHS Secretariat will hold training on project development and implementation for stakeholders active in the Policy Area “Health.

The training will be held as part of a project “Support to coordination and implementation of activities within the EUSBSR Policy Area "Health" currently being implemented by the NDPHS Secretariat thanks to a grant provided by the European Union through its Interreg BSR Programme 2014-2020.

Participation in the training is free of charge. Additionally, the participants’ travel, accommodation and catering costs will be covered by the organizers.

Who may apply?

Representatives of health agencies, universities, local authorities, NGOs, regional expert networks are welcome to apply. Up to 20 participants will be invited and sponsored.

We are looking for participants who will be prepared to discuss concrete ideas and are eager to put into action the approaches and solutions learnt during the training.

If you are interested in participating in the training, please read further details about it as well as fill out and submit an online application form. Those applicants who would like to take advantage of the training to learn how to convert their project idea into a fundable project proposal are additionally invited to fill out a project concept form.
