The Policy Area Innovation of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR) organizes an event on Ukraine-EUSBSR innovation cooperation at the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education in Warsaw on Tuesday 16 April 2024. The aim of the event is to present and discuss cooperation opportunities between Ukrainian and Baltic Sea region innovation stakeholders on topics such as smart cities, regional innovation policy (smart specialization) and social innovations, and promote connections and matchmaking between Ukrainian and Baltic Sea region stakeholders and discuss opportunities for joint projects in connection with EU funding instruments such as Interreg programmes. The speakers of the event include e.g. Ms. Nadija Afanasieva, Director, Ukrainian Institute for International Politics (UIIP), Mr. Andrzej Cieszkowski, Minister – Counsellor at the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Tarmo Ots, EUSBSR Policy Area Transport Coordinator, Estonian Ministry of Climate, and representatives of Ukrainian and Baltic Sea region cities and regions (Kyiv, Tampere, CPMR).
