The first website that gives access to expert knowledge and research results on the subject of designing for seniors is now available. Designers, producers and practitioners can use it free of charge! The creation and development of the tool is the result of transnational works carried out as part of the EUSBSR Flagship, BaltSe@nioR project.
EUSBSR Flagship project ‘Baltic Blue Growth’ has implemented several pilot mussel farms in the Baltic Sea and explored under which biological and financial conditions mussel farming is possible.
The 10th EUSBSR Annual Forum is approaching. As always, the Forum is full of interesting seminars to choose from. This year, seminars and discussions are linked to the main theme of circular economy. To make it slightly easier for you to get to know the programme, this post lists the seminars organized by the EUSBSR Policy Areas and Horizontal Actions.
Interreg BSR Programme organized a conference in Lubeck, Germany on 9-10 April 2019 to talk about projects’ results and what has been achieved so far within the programme. It is safe to say that all conference participants were impressed.
Let’s face it. The EUSBSR is hard to communicate. In general terms, yes, but perhaps especially to outsiders such as youth. The strategy is volatile, intangible and hard to measure. Therefore, it is hard to sell. The Baltic Youth Camp 2019 will try the mission impossible: Not only explaining it to youth – but also activating them in the strategy.

A picture of EUSBSR cooperation?

The main task of Horizontal Action Neighbours is to bring stakeholders in the European Union member states and neighbouring countries, North Western territories of the Russian Federation as well as Norway, Belarus and Iceland together in a constructive, mutually advantageous manner.
In the beginning of this year, Interreg South Baltic Programme promoted their Flagships in a Facebook campaign. The campaign is a great compilation of the work carried out within the EUSBSR but also good inspiration to all those thinking of running a social media campaign. Let’s take a look at the Flagships and their results!

Bioeconomy beyond statistics

Clear facts about bioeconomy help decision makers form a clearer picture of their own performance and create ambitious, yet realistic goals for their bioeconomy. Facts provide a solid base for a regional strategy. This sounds very simple, but that is not the case.
In January 2019, the Baltic Sea Cultural Centre in Gdańsk hosted 9th Strategic Project Development Workshop “The Power of Culture & Creative Sectors to increase Youth Participation in the BSR – Supporting the Baltic Sea Region Youth Camp in Summer 2019”co-organized by EUSBSR PA Culture.
