Workshop: CULTURE4CLIMATE

Written by  ARS BALTICA/PA Culture

Linked to a common sea, the states of the Baltic Sea Region need to tackle the issues of climate change, rising sea levels and maintaining a clean sea together. Since climate change affects all of us equally, we need to connect and adapt beyond borders in the Baltic Sea Region.

We believe that arts and culture have the power to not only help us understand, but also to make the connections beyond borders and national or political limits. CULTURE4CLIMATE (C4C) offers a collaborative forum where such sharing can be made possible, and where experience across disciplines and borders can focus on action, not only on intentions.

How the cultural sector can help to tackle the Climate Crisis is the leading question of the C4C panel at the EUSBSR Annual Forum 2021. During the session the panelists will present outcomes of the project’s INTERREG Seed Money Phase as well as a good mixed interactive panel discussion on what strong role culture can take in tackling the Climate Crisis. With good practice examples and a cross sectoral approach.

Moderators: Oleg Koefoed (Growing Pathways), Marcus Hagemann (ARS BALTICA)
Panelists: Thorvaldur Kristjanson (CBSS), Dr. Charlotte Streck (Climate Focus), Benjamin Görlach (Ecologic Insititut) tbc.

Date: 28th September 2021
Time: 09:00 – 10:30 (CET)
