The Rail Baltica, the idea to build and proper rail way connection (Helsinki) - Tallinn – Riga – Kaunas – Warsaw and continuing on to Berlin is on the agenda in a conference onboard a train starting from Vilnius via Riga to Tallin 15-16 October 2013.

The activity is seen as one of the most important investments in the Baltic Sea region and is also included in the European Ten-T network. On 16 September the transport ministers from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Finland and Poland signed a joint declaration on the basic principles of establishing the “Rail Baltica 2? joint venture.

The pre-conference on the train is part of a very large set of conferences in Tallinn called the Ten-T Days 2013 in Tallinn 16-18 October. The full programme for the Ten-T days is available
